A claim is the only product we actually sell

Cashless approval in 20 minutes. A reimbursement decision in 48 hours, or ₹2,500 credited to your policy automatically. No IVR, no ticket number, and a named human from the first minute.

Claims desk answers 24×7, including public holidays.

How it runs

Four steps, and you only do the first

Most of what slows an Indian claim down is the handover between departments. There aren't any. One named assessor owns your file from intimation to payout.

  1. Intimate it — WhatsApp, app, or one call

Photos, a voice note, or two minutes with the advisor whose name is on your policy. For cashless, just show your e-card at the hospital desk and we take it from there.

    ~4 minutes
  2. A licensed assessor takes ownership

Named, reachable, and yours until the file closes. They tell you exactly what is still needed — once, in a single message, not in weekly instalments.

    Under 60 minutes
  3. Decision, in writing, with the clause cited

Approved, partly approved, or declined — always with the specific policy clause quoted. Surveyor visits, where needed, are scheduled within 24 hours.

    Within 48 hours
  4. Money moves the same day

NEFT or IMPS to your registered bank account on approvals confirmed before 8pm IST. Cashless claims settle directly with the hospital — you sign and leave.

    Same day
Written into the policy

The 48-hour guarantee

This is a contractual term in Schedule C of every Unesco Trust policy, not a service aspiration on a marketing page.

When the clock starts

At the moment your claim is submitted with the minimum documents listed in Schedule C. You get a timestamped acknowledgement on WhatsApp and email immediately.

When it pauses

Only while we are waiting on a third party — a hospital's medical records department, a police FIR, or a court order. You are told the moment it pauses and why.

If we miss it

₹2,500 is credited to your policy within one working day of the deadline passing — ₹5,000 on Sovereign. You file nothing, and it has no bearing on the claim itself.

If you disagree with our decision

Three routes, in order, and we will tell you about all three rather than hoping you stop at the first:

  • Our Grievance Redressal Officer — a fresh assessor who did not handle the original file reviews it within 7 days. Write to unescotrust@gmail.com.
  • IRDAI's Bima Bharosa portal — if you are not satisfied within 15 days, register the complaint with the regulator directly. We do not treat that as adversarial.
  • The Insurance Ombudsman — free, binding on us, and we cover your documentation costs whichever way it goes. Last year 0.4% of our claims reached this stage.
Before you start

What to keep handy

You can register a claim without any of this. Having it ready just makes the 48 hours comfortable rather than tight.

Health — cashless

  • Your e-health card or policy number
  • Aadhaar or any photo ID
  • The treating doctor's advice for admission
  • Nothing else — the hospital sends the pre-auth form

Health — reimbursement

  • Discharge summary
  • Itemised hospital bill and payment receipts
  • Prescriptions and diagnostic reports
  • Cancelled cheque or NEFT details

Motor

  • RC copy and driving licence
  • Photos of the damage, taken where it happened
  • FIR — only for theft or third-party injury
  • Garage estimate, if you already have one

Home & contents

  • Photos or video of the damage
  • A rough list of what was lost
  • Bills or warranty cards, if you kept them
  • Police complaint, for theft or burglary

Term life — death claim

  • Death certificate
  • Original policy document, if available
  • Nominee's KYC and bank details
  • Post-mortem or FIR, for accidental death

Travel, pet & business

  • Travel: airline delay certificate or bills paid abroad
  • Pet: the vet's invoice — we pay them directly
  • Business: GST invoice for damaged stock
  • Cyber: nothing — call us first, before touching anything
